Graduation
So...
Graduation parade is on tuesday, and the ceremony is on weds, and celebration dinner's on tues. I am barely excited, but it's ok, I will go with the flow eventually. I guess having my family here would make a big difference to the whole graduation ordeal. Gosh.. evidently i'm not excited at all, I called it an ordeal! It's not their fault they can't come, it just didnt work out, since I am working as well, and can't take leave to take them around. Oh well, I guess there's always next year. But in the mean time, I need to find enough safety pins to hold the hood down so I don't make a fool of myself on stage, and if I have the time, french manicure tomorrow!
All else is going good, work's been awesome and I absolutely love what I'm doing at the mo, probably because it's making good progress, and I've already managed to synthesize my target compound. Now, I just need to optimize the conditions for my reaction and get on with the next project. It seems like there will be a good flow from my project for summer to my project for Honours next year. And besides all these geeky work
, I have been learning an awful lot about networking and the itswhoyouknowandnotwhatyouknow concept, though I still hold that what you know is very important, lest you BS all the way. Fortunately, this concept is working to my advantage, I found favour in the eyes of my bosses. I know that the Who I know is greater than all mankind, and have blessed me more than what I will ever deserve.
Also, God blessed me with a partial schship for living expenses for next year! =)
I'll be home in 2 weeks! I'm really looking forward to home, what with the things going on in my family, I think this will be a very much needed reunion, at least on my part. I'm guilty of being frustrated that I only have 3 weeks to spend time with sooo many ppl, but I guess I should be grateful that I actually get to go home at all! Anyhow, the graduation, Christmas parties and work will certainly make the next to weeks go by in a jiffy!
So I will end this post by showing off my newfound summer love. (Actually, it's not really summer, considering that we played in the rain today!)
