Sleepless
It's sooo annoying when you have the whole afternoon for a good nap, and the weather is perfect.. But.. you toss and turn. And toss. And turn. And you are so alert to every audible sound around you. When the already-shut door bumps on its own post when the wind courses through your flat, your brain registers.. that's the door. Then, you also realise that the cricket or whatever insect is making noises in the bushes just outside your window.
You know, it sounds like I'm in a jungle, except that I'm in my flat and the semi-jungle is outside! It's pretty cool that I'm living in a city, and yet i come across what seems like a jungle everyday! The long path towards my flat has flowers/bushes/trees on both sides and it seems more like a hike to the peak of a hill rather than to home! I love it!
Ok, sorry i digressed. And then, you hear two distinct knocks on your door, but you crawl deeper under the sheets, and curl up.. because you dont want to wake up yet! You are supposed to be sleeping soundly and be totally oblivious to the world! Then you become restless and take a peek at your clock, 45 minutes have past, and you only have 15 minutes to nap before the alarm rings. You turn around, shift your pillow and duvet, and think of happy thoughts. And your mind drift to what has happened for the day, how you were almost late for class, as usual. And then, your day-dreaming gets rudely interrupted by the alarm. Dang! 15 minutes is up! You are still not satisfied, you are still determined to get your afternoon nap, so you set your alarm for another half an hour. You go back to where you stopped, and thought of the free stuff you got from the quad for sports club day. You might have gone back to sleep.. if your darling bf did not nudge you on msn!!
Haha! Ok.. i was bored.. and frustrated, not at ppl, but cos i couldnt sleep! Better get going. Gonna get liquid nitrogen ice cream from the NZ Institute of Chemistry later. Whatever that is. And then will be attending this new group exercise called Ritmix, some dance/aerobics thing. It's free for the 1st week, so might as well get some exercise.

Ok, maybe not have him/her now, but I definitely want to have a big dog some time in the future! And it'll be good buddies with Sherri!
