Hmm...I think by far, this is my most depressing and emotional birthday. Well, I cant really sort my emotions out either, but it's definitely not because Im older or what. or maybe it is.

Exams. Study. Books. Lecture notes. handwritten notes. And more books, and more studying, and...aihz..i give up...

Or maybe today sorta sucked cos Im far away frm home, far away from family, far away from dan, far away from close familiar friends..i mean, when im back home, I dont have a crazy blasting celebration for bdays, but i guess it's the feeling close to my comforts. Am I getting homesick?hmmm...mayb a lil...It's such a ratty feeling..Aihz, plus winter started 2 days ago, and it's getting really cold out there. Or maybe it's just because Im getting all stressed about my finals next week. Maybe it's just the feeling of self pity cos I have to spend my 19th birthday studying. Which I didnt actually do much! Oh well, I will celebrate on the 13th, when im finally done with the 1st trimester!

Ok, Janice, lets look at the brighter side of things! I had a great bunch of friends frm AB who came into my room when the clock struck 12 and sang me a birhtday song! I was surprised indeed, and a lil touched that I teared! haha.. And I also got a chunn pink glittery card and a pleasant paua shell bracelet frm Jas. She's great! Then texts came in, mostly fr all my great friends back home! And my sis was the 1st to text me! Heh! And a call frm mum, and dan. And ohya, a few days b4, I had 2 cards frm home, one frm mum and one frm dad. And they sent the cards separately. Weird parents eh? hehe..then, I got the suuuppperrr duuupppperr huge and heavy 18kg parcel frm home!!hahah! It took approx 2 months for the sea mail to arrive k! And poor Jas and I had to lug it all the way frm the Weir Office to AB House, and on our way, we had to go past 5 doors!! haha...but it was amazing to find treasures! Mum really knows how to pack man! She even slips stuff in between folds of clothes, and every lil corner! The joy of wearing my new-old clothes! (if u get what I mean!). Ok, lets ignore the fact that i couldnt fit into most of my pants! . So, that was in a way my heaviest present! haha...got lotsa noodles, duck mee!! and tomyam paste, and milo! and some new tops and a nice new scarf! And ohya, I finally got to see the awesome album that eunice made for me as my farewell gift, which I sadly couldnt bring along with me earlier cos it was too heavy. And ohya, Mei and Jo, I jsut wore the scarf you guys gave me!! Gonna wear the beany some time..love them. Thanx!!! And ohya, i also finally got to use the Body Shop Body Butter from Shoo, Ming, Su-Lyn and Su Lin. They make me wanna eat myself! hehe! Dunno u guys read this, but thanx anyway!! (All these came in the parcel). And ohya, i've got myself a whole stack of pirated DVDs!! haha! Got all 3 Infernal affairs, and lots of newer movies. Shd start charging all my friends who keep popping into my room to borrow my dvds! hehe!!

And I also got a card frm darling dan..But still havnt gotten his parcel with my present yet...really looking forward to it.

So yeah, I shdnt be complaining much eh? Phil 4 something-think about things that are good. And what dan sed is very true lah, I shd be thanking God for all that I have., the opportunity that I have here. And for the 19 years that He has faithfully seen me through. If there's nothing else for me to celebrate about getting a year older, I shd celelbrate about how GOd has added wisdom, and made me grow more in Him!! Thank You Lord!!!!!

Aihz..oklah..gotta get some sleep. And "power study" again tomorrow! And then to Dorothy's for Hot Choc and wonderful cakes for supper! hehe!

So, her birthday wishes came as belated ones. haha...It was so good to talk to her! I miss hanging on the phone for hours with friends!! Esp ping and sue and sulin, and sometimes ting!

I so shd be in my room studying for the stupid 200 level paper now. But iot's just that smtimes, when the subject is too tough, and goes way beyond u, u just let go and not bother anymore. But I cant!! I have to bother, I have to study, and I have to cram whatever non-relating piece of junky information into my poor poor exhausted brain, so that I can at least pass this paper. I dont wnat to do it. But I know I'll regret it if I dont study now. Arrrgghhh...And yeah, like mei sed, every1 seems to be going thru their "stuff" now. Crap...emotions are all bottlled up in me, i dont even know why i feel the way I do. I only can hope and pray that all clouds will clear soon. Speaking of clouds, the weather has been fine the past few days. Welly is weird! It's winter now,but the sun is still brightly shining on alternate days! No, Im not complaining. I'll never complain about the sun. But then, it's cold out there even with the sun. It's so weird to be in layers of warm clothings, when the sun is smiling down at us. haha...

Oh Lord, please give me strngth to do the things that I dont feel like doing. Lord, help me to focus my eyes on you, and to see things thru ur eyes. Cos I know when I focus on you, I'll draw stregth and peace. Lord, please give me peace as I study and go thru whatever crap that I have to go thru. Help me to concentrate and fit all the BioChem into my head. help me not to stress out, and Lord, help me to stay awake!!!! i shall resist the temptation of my cosy, inviting bed. And I pray for whoever else who's going thru their rough times/ exams or whatever, that u'll see all of them thru, as You always do. Thank You Lord. Amen.

ok, what i did for my 209 exams just now was the crappiest crap I've ever crapped! Anyways, it's all behind me, and im hoping and praying that my lecturers will be able to read my utterly illegible handwriting, and he will make sense out of the nonsense that i wrote!

It's so farney, i was just reading sue's blog, and she had a whole range of Birkenstock (correct spelling?) jandals/slippers there! It's so bright and colourful, and nice! We have these desgins here as well, but they only cos NZD10, so,l i highly doubt it's Birkenstock. But yeah, i actually almost bought them. And ping was just saying she bought some Birkenstock sandals for her Bro..haha..so chunn...

ok..what else? Hmm..i have a whole stack, seriously a whole stack of pirated dvds waiting for me to watch em! And if im really broke, and desperate, i think i can earn a whole lot by just renting them to the AB-ians who knock on my door, and smile sweetly to me, cos they wanna watch them! haha!

Doopedee doo...jas finished her exams yesterday d, and poor poor me still ahve one on monday. But at least 70% of hte burden is off d! Doopedeedoo..what am i gonna talk about smore? Ohyea, got a really hillarious video from dan for my bday! he went to my house, and videod my family and my dad was totally hillarious! And he had a video of himself as well...and mum sang out of tune..so cute! haha...and ohya, finally got my bday card frm Sue, and her lil piece of handmade art..it's proudly stuck to my wall now. Hmm...come to think of it, i think i have enough cards and pictures to totally cover the whole of my wall...shd take a pic of it some day...

I miss dan...hmm..usually, back home, I'll so look forward to when my exams end, cos that means I can spend more time with dan. But now..there's not much difference. Well, i guess we could talk more, but no  *bling bling $$ leh! But yayz, michael is loaning us his modem over the hols, so we can have broadband! And ohya, have to find a job...hmmm...

Christmas crackers. Christmas pudding. Christmas tarts. Ham cooked with pineapples, potatoes, and kumura, and pumpkins. Candles and Christmas trees. And pressies!

Everything was right about the midwinter Christmas dinner we had just now, except that it’s not in December! Haha! But it was interesting though! Well, being a Christian myself, I’ve never had such a typical “western” Christmas dinner. But oh well, Christmas is not about all this. Yes! That’s why it’s so weird, cos celebrating this Midwinter Christmas does not really have a meaning behind it. Well, Jesus was not born half a year earlier! Haha! And there's no snow..But it was fun, wasted my camera is sent home for repair, or else it would have been nice to have some pics. We had chocs and even pressies! Hehe! I got a cute lil beany Platipus, and a packet of M&Ms. Haha, I have this fren Amelia who got a whole uncooked chicken! Crazy! Haha!

Hmmm..i’ve been procrastinating way too much. Slept the whole afternoon. Well, I deserve it. I’ve been studying since May!! Ok, im not gonna feel guilty about it. But yeah, I ought to be studying now.

ARRGHHH!! I just typed a paragraph..and i terclose this box.

anwyas, yeah, i was having loads of fun showing so manyppl around my room! So glad that i can FINALLY use my webcam!! hehe! And just being crazy! haha..But this came with a price! My comp crashed! just a day after I finsihed all my exams! So donkey ok!! Well, u see, i was trying to install my fren's modem, for broadband. And then, Ms. Janice Smart, didnt knw that her comp didnt hav a firewall! so..got infected with Trojan, and a whole lot of spyware! so bara k! Anwyas, Steven helped me reformat my comp. And I thought everything would be fine, but then, mana tau, whwen i logged on, my poor poor comp caught some oth worm! And by then, i was a damsel in distress cos Steven went to South Island for his hols d. But thank God Aik WIn was nice enough to help me save my comp! he loaded a whole lot of protection software, and finally got rid of the worm. But some funny msg from "Messenger Service" keeps popping up on my screen every 5 mins, saying that my comp is corrupted, and it needs to be rebooted etc etc. Still dunno how to get rid of that. Aihz.

And boy, was Aik Win the Bearer of "Great" news! Apparently, he said i over-wrote my warranty frm Toshiba, cos i replaced my orignal Windows Xp with a fake one. SO..yeah, there goes my 3 years warranty. Dunno how far it is true..Somebody enlighten me?? please?? ANd then, apparently i jsut killed like half of my battery life-span, cos i turn on the AC power, and yet leave the battery in it. How was i supposed to know!! Nobody told me!! SO, apparently, the comp could still work, when i take out the battery. SO, yeah, there's a hole under my laptop now, cos i removed the battery. No wonder, i was noticing that my battery, on 100% only lasts for about 2 hours plus! That's almost half of what it used to be! Ish! Ignorance is sometimes no bliss!

And we tried to apply for some one-off jobs, only to realise that we needed an IRD (inland revenue department) number, for taxation. And it takes 10 days for us to get the number. SO, yeah, there goes our plans to work a lil over this hols. Oh well, then i can sleep more. haha.

Today was really eventful. Dragged myself upp after 4 hours of sleep to go for breakfast. ANd then, went back to sleep, till michelle knocked on our door, and woke us up, and by then it was lunch time! Then we went to town, shopping for my winter coat. Yes, we'r halfway thru June, n I havnt even gotten my winter jacket. Im still surviving lah. ANyways, ,i tried on like a 6-7 winter coats frm Max. They were on sale, around $140, but the one which I wanted, which had a hood, is rather huge. And the cut is not that nice. But i need a hooded jacket in Welly!! AIhz. Anyways, then, we went over to A floor, to the cookery flat, and cooked Nasi Lemak with the Malays!! haha...It was soo lawak. Cos we invited the Americans as well, so, that means we cant cook anything spicy. But Mimi, added too much chilli paste, and it was even too spicy for us. The Americans could have shot thru the roof! And we added santan, sugar, tomatoes and water, hoping to mild the spiciness, but to no avail! So, we ended up cooking some separate thing for them, using the same chicken, but with soy sauce, and oyster sauce, plus a lil of the spicy gravy that we made. Our very own concoction! Haha! and the santan rice that we were trying to cook didnt turn out too well either. Cos i think they added too much rice, in a small rice cooker. The rice came out all squishy, but it was not very cook in the middle, and it was a lil grainy. And gosh, after about 1.5 hours, we got food on the table! haha! And gosh, all the Msians were sniffing and crying thru our meals, while the americans enjoyed theirs with us aas entertainment! Brianne was so amazed and thought that we were crazy, killing our taste buds that way! And we thought them to eat with their hands. It was fun. And Michelle (american) was the most daring the 3, she had about 15 peas, that was cooked in the super spicy ayam masak merah!I was challenging her, and was pickign out all the peas for her. She was a good sport indeed! Great to see them turn bright pink by just one tiny pea! Then, we hung out at Brianne's room cos Michelle and Brianne are going back to the States tomorrow. Hmmm..It's amazing how friendships are formed, and then, how short they are. Michelle, Brianne, tiffany, and Ellen were one great bunch of Americans! They were totally wacky and sacarstic! Gonna miss them soo much. Well, the Kiwis are fun, but we hang out with the Americans more often. Hopefully the new group of Americans replacing them next trimester would be jsut as fun, if not more!

Ok..i so ought to go to sleep. Gonna take the train to Tawa tomorrow with Jasmine. Going to Dress Smart, which apparently is like a mall, which has lots and lots of cheaper, branded clothes! Hopefuly i'll find a good coat frm there! and I need a pair of jeans!! Oh, did i mention that the "malls" in welly are pathetic? They're only 2 storeys high! It's really weird, not even a mall. But They have lots of boutiques, that are along one whole street. And the other lousy thing is that NZ businesses are so not competitive. They close at 4pm! or latest 5pm! Crazy right?! Imagine how much more $$ they will earn if they open for another 6 hoours or so till 10 pm! And there's basically no competition for stuff. There's only Telecom, and Vodafon, as service providers here. The only dominating mineral water is "Pump". There's like only one brand of milk available. And clothes! The only brands are Glassons (smth like Seed style) and Jay Jays (smth like padini style) and Supre, which has rather skanky clothes. And then, the normal surf brands. That's all! So, I can pratically identify where the ppl on the streets get their clothes frm!! haha

ok..enough of complaining. Well, it;s not actually complaining, but it's more of observations.

OK, Jas is always a dumb blond when it'snot exam seasons. She's a total cumb blond..but i gues she infected me as well!

Ok, here's the story:

We wanted to go out Welly, to this place called Tawa, cos they have Dressmart there. And they have tonnes of apparels shops all in one store. And i badly needed to get a winter coat. So, we took the train to Tawa on saturday. OK, the stops are Welly-Tekapu Rd-Redwood-Tawa-Linden-etc.etc. And so, we got a train ticket for Tawa. And while we were passing the Tekapu Rd stop, we saw Dressmart, huge and obvious! ANd we were like, "wait a minute, are we supposed to stop at Tawa stop, or Tekapu Rd stop??" But we had friends who went to Dressmart b4, and they stopped at Tawa, and walked. So we thought it shouldnt be wrong. So, when we arrived at Tawa, this two eager shopaholics walked around, and asked a lady on the street for directions. And she told us to go on the main road, and keep walking, dressmart should be on the left. SO, yeah, we walked, and walked, and walked, and walked...and we were on a highway! And there were only houses on the right, and trees/jungle on the left! After half an hour, we decided to ask anth lady, and she was laughing, and said, "sorry girls, you're miles away frm Dressmart, you're in Linden now". Apparently we walked the other direction, away frm dressmart!! And the thing was that we walked frm on train station to the next!!  Haha! Well, there you go, dumb blonds! So, we caught a train frm Linden, and went to Tekapu Rd (which was where we were supposed to stop in the 1st place!!)

When we arrived at the TekapuRd stop, it only took us 10 minutes to get to Dressmart k!!! Donkey ness!! I felt sooo stupis k! So, yeah, Im officially a dumb blond, who attempted to be smarter but going to dresSMART!! haha!

okie, friend is here, we're gonna watch all 3 Infernal Affairs!

It's crazy! Just yesterday it was a bright sunshiny day, and today, it's pouring sheets down! And the worst thing is that we have to go under the rain to the main dining hall. CIs Bedebah! hmm...havnt said that in a long time. heh!

ANyways, I got a pleasant mail frm my sis! hehe...my super belated bday "mail". Heh! got pics of her. (Gosh, Van, u look so old with he curled hair!! ANd hmm..dan sed you grew taller eh? Not impossible for u to grow taller than me then? ) THis cheeky fellow sent me pic of dan eating my mum's TomYam greedily! All the prawns and the crab sticks!  I miss my mummy's Tom Yam! ANd I got a pic of my mum as well..with the the lil indoor plant that Dan gave her in the background.

Watched Infernall Affairs 2 and 3 with Jas and Aik Win 2 nites before. Haha..Im sitll kinda blur about the plot..But it was a good plot, i know. Just have to watch it all over again! see.. I told u Im a Dumb Blonde now! Got so many mvies to watch stil though..Mona Lisa's smile..and a whole lot lah..And i wana watch Batman!! After all the good remarks about it! But we have to wait til we get our free mvie tickets frm the International Office, cos we're super broke d.

Ohya, me got a coat frm Paddington Coat Factory. THis place where they sell proper winter coats. Got a dark brown, mock suede with fur in the inner lining! Really love it. And it ws only $79. hehe..and ohya, I also got a pair of jeans, that fits me well frm Pegani at Dressmart. Luv it!

ok, im bored, it has been the 3rd time i checked tabulas i think. And i keep reading the same blog entries in my friends list. ANd I checked my mail a zillion times today. But got nth. How sad? haha.

SO, i decided, maybe I shd blog a lil then. Ohya, I finally had my Gellatos!!! Gellatos is a kind of ice-cream. Only it's less thick, and it's made of fruits like passion fruit, mango, strawberries and all. You see, they hav this small stall by the wharf, and they apparently only open on days with fine weather! ANd I went yesterday, all the way to the wharf, with ice cream as the sole goal in my mind, but it was not open! And i think i went twice before yesterday, and it was not open as well! So, i've heard all about it's greatness, but was never lucky enough to taste it! So, u bet i was ecstatic today! haha! I tried a scoop of peach and passion fruit, which was ok nia. But jas had strawberry champenoise, and it tasted soo nice! It has a lil liquor in it! Definitely gonna try that , or some grapefruit + liquor! But yeah, im satisfied now. Also had Kapiti's ice cream yesterday. Honey and pecans! It was great as well! hehe! Now u see y im getting fatter? haha!

And yayz! Batman here I come! Just collected a free movie ticket frm Easterfield today, for doing some online survey by International Office! hehe..

Got loads to read this hols as well. gotta finish the novel i brought here! haha! Never had the time to read it! And then, some of the books that my mum sent. And also Im starting "master life", some workbook with Dan, and hav to finish a session a day. It's been good so far. God pls help me to be disciplined to read ur Word!

And ohya, also went to see David Scott and Shen Wei Teo, our schship's coordinator, and got some stuff clarified.

arrghh..i miss the ppl i can chat with for hours...THere are stuff that i need to share..opinions that i need to get, but...aihz... Well, i guess i can live with it, and let things go by, and they will slowly fade away. And obviously I can go before God. But it's just that sometimes i need some ppl to tell me as well. LIke u know how ppl can knock some sense into you, or tell u that you're over-thinking, and over-worrying. Hmm..i guess most ppl go thru the same stuff.. And i guess it's also up to me to open up to the new friends around me. But i miss my friends, my good ol' friends who just listens, and gives sound advises occasionally.

aihz...and dan just texted..he'll call much later, or we'll prob not talk if i dont get up to pick his call. WEll, i guess i shd stay up to wait for his call. Considering that we have barely been talking. Ok, maybe im amplifying it a little. But..yeah..communications..aihz..certainly plays a huge role in a rship. Well, unless ur the kind who dont really care, or...i dont know..

And feeling like that makes me miss Michelle and Brianne and that AMerican bunch! Miss their wackiness! and..aih..

But i did have a great night tonight. Matt came over to pick Jas and I, and a few oth ppl, and we went over to his flat to play VOon SHan's Cranium! Some American board game, that is a combination of taboo, charades, pictionary, and a few others! Really fun! Then we hing around, eating junk, and singing and all. Oh oh oh! I learnt how to play Heart OF Worship on a guitar! Zohan, Indonesian guy who has been living here for a long time was nice enough to teach me! hehe...But i bet u, like all other times, i will forget how to play it the next day! haha!But it was good achievement! One whole song ya know! Really thank GOd for this great bunch of CF friends!

Ok..mayb i shd just get myself absorbed into the gripping novel that im currently reading..and forget all else..and wait for Dan's call, or fall asleep, whichever comes first.

I got A-!! I got A-!! Woohoo!!! *jump* jump* skip* skip*!! I got A- for my 200 level Proteins and Enzymes paper!! I was practically dancing on my seat when i saw my results on Student Records! It is certainly God who helped me pass! Thank You Lord! Thank you! thank You! At least I dont have to worry about Shenwei and David (the schship organisers) calling me to their office for a lil chat!

Hmm..Havnt been updating much. The past week has been a busy and long week. stressful at times cos of some stuff between dan and I, but thank God it's all over.

Ohya ohya ohya!!!! I met Jess and Su ann!!! THey travelled to Christchurch and then up to Napier, and then down to Welly for their Hols!! And they gave me a text while they were down here yesterday! And we had a good time catching up with each other. And I took them, and their 2 other friends for Gelatos by the wharf again! And yes, we had a perfect sunshiny day yesterday. I tried Grapefruit & Campari sorbet this time, but it's not as nice as the Strawberry Campenoir. And then, we went to Te Papa Museum again, and there were so many new additions compared to when i visited it a month or so ago. hehe..

Ohya, mei, jess was telling me that gao Jing is like her best friend now. Haha.. He's hanging out with their "gang" now. hehe..wat a small world after all.

Before meeting Jess and Su, I went to the Newtown Zoo with Jas, Keryn, and Kalyn ( the new american). The zoo wasnt as spectacular, but it was nice enough. We had fun taking pics and all, plus, it was a great day to be out with the sun! Though i was freezing cos it was still cold! But shdnt complain as much, considering that it gets as cold as -5C down in Dunedin!

OK..gotta go grab some lunch, and then, start packing for conference which is tomorrow. And then uni starts again on monday. *Yikes*!
